Celebrating the Birth . . . Alan E. Nourse

Alan Edward Nourse (August 11, 1928 – July 19, 1992)
Nourse was a science fiction writer of the 1950s and later, whose stories often focused on medicine and displayed a keen sense of humor. He was also a practicing physician who had a regular column in Good Housekeeping.  Though not remembered as well as some other writers of that era, Nourse has a complete "LibriVox - Short Science Fiction Collection," number eight, of readings of his stories.  One of his novels and several of his short stories are freely available.
